We’re looking for a social media specialist who has a real flair for creative communication to join our established social team – someone who can deliver fresh and thoughtful campaigns and content to drive engagement, awareness and engage candidates on behalf of our clients.

Role overview

In this role you will work with our Head of Social and in-house teams to fulfil all stages of our clients’ social media needs from strategy to delivery and reporting.  You will be using social media to find solutions to translate client objectives into actionable campaigns, providing strategic consultancy and advice that ensures excellence in everything we deliver, from writing/presenting paid and organic strategies, through to content curation and creation as well as ongoing channel management and optimisation.


  • Develop social media strategies (paid and organic) and set goals to increase awareness and engagement
  • Manage and develop all social media channels on behalf of our clients, and continuously strive to improve effectiveness
  • Plan content and delivery using third-party tools such as Hootsuite alongside latent platform interfaces
  • Manage and deliver/create engaging social media content working closely with our in-house creative and client service teams
  • Ensure all content is delivered in the appropriate tone of voice and with high levels of accuracy
  • Monitor and report on performance on all channels
  • Build and grow strong relationships, both internally and externally
  • Proactivity in staying up to date with wider social media developments
  • Quickly absorb information about our clients’ business, brand, products/services, markets, and key employee groups and adapt to changes

Knowledge, skills and experience


  • Good knowledge of social media platforms to be able to credibly advise and consult on how to build, engage, manage and grow social media communities
  • A working knowledge of paid social media and an understanding of its place in a wider campaign
  • Knowledge of, and an interest in, the anatomy of good community updates, user generated content, social media communities
  • Familiarity with social media management, monitoring and analytics tools
  • Experience of digital editorial or publishing, and knowledge of what makes for ‘good content’, ideally with experience in editing and proof-reading


  • Strong relationship building and management skills
  • Good editorial skills with experience of writing for the web and social media to suit different audiences
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Creative thinker with plenty of ideas, willingness to experiment, and the drive to see ideas to implementation
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work as part of a team sharing ideas and learning


  • Strong experience of briefing, writing or editing and proof-reading engaging and creative copy
  • Evidence of delivering social media outputs for business – either in a large in-house role or agency
  • Involvement in managing and growing engaged online communities
  • Experience of working to an agreed publishing plan across a number of social media platforms
